Tallebudgera and the valley behind it are a different job to coastal Gold Coast. Blocks are larger, there's far more tree cover, and a lot of properties have long driveways, sheds and outbuildings that all need doing at the same time. The salt problem largely disappears here — and gets replaced by an organic growth problem that's arguably harder to stay on top of.
This is the big one. Overhanging trees drop leaves, bark and sap onto roofs and into gutters year-round, and all of it feeds moss and lichen. Tallebudgera roofs are the clearest example we see of shade and trees pulling a wash forward from the usual 3 to 5 years down to about 2.
A roof or driveway that doesn't get direct sun after rain stays wet for hours longer than one that does. That extended damp window is exactly what moss and algae need, which is why shaded southern-side walls here go green well before the rest of the house.
Long concrete or aggregate driveways, shed slabs, retaining walls and outdoor entertaining areas all add up. Most Tallebudgera jobs are bigger than a standard suburban quote, which is also why bundling makes more sense here than almost anywhere.
